Using knock-out plugs inside a Clean-Out Test Tee is against the code, as part of the knock out plug rim is left in. The Palmer’s Test Tee Plug is completely removed. Blow up balls are expensive to plumbers because you have to depend on your apprentice plumbers to take good care of these inflatable balls.

The Rip Plug save me about $10 on every sewer line that I run. At the street I no longer need to put a test tee behind the street riser. I just feed the cord up the riser and run the sewer line as usual. After the test just open the c/o and pull the cord. The plug un-zips and comes right out.
